Women are amongst very vulnerable sections in any social order. A large number of them face harassment/violence at the hands of the strangers, family members and other known to them. Such abuse may take place at homes and work places. The violence may be in the form of psychological abuse as well as physical abuse. Victims in most cases cannot take recourse to the criminal justice system for a variety of reasons including the fear of social stigma and lack of knowledge about the institutions that could come to their rescue.
In Order to provide necessary assistance to such victims, Women Police Station is located in Premises of District Police Lines, Panipat City. The Women Cell is headed by the rank of a DSP who works under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Panipat.
Any complainant can file her complaint at Women Police Station or to DSP
CAW Panipat. Such complaints can also be submitted to offices of SP Panipat.
The complainant can also call Police Control Room at 100 or at Women Helpline (1091), working round the clock (24*7).
