Traffic Overview

 

Traffic Police Panipat, has one separate Traffic Police Station and its office is situated at Babarpur on National Highway 44 and one Police Post at Samalkha on National Highway 44. Traffic Police Station is working under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Panipat.


Traffic Enforcement:- Sufficient number of Police Officials have been posted as per BPRD norms in traffic staff.
Awareness programme are being organized for general public, student and road users about traffic rules on continuously basis. Traffic Challan are being made against the violators rules specially traffic laws violations by two wheelers, cars & taxies, trucks over speeding, without helmets and non-wearing of seat belt.
In case of road accidents to provide all possible assistance is being given to the accident victims as soon as possible. 03 Police Assistance Booths have been already installed at a reasonable distance on National Highways No. 44. Total 02 Scorpio, 01 Recovery Van, 02 Interceptor Vehicles, 02 Ambulances & 03 Motor cycles rider police vehicles are patrolling on National Highways round the 24 hours on various areas for smooth traffic and reduction of road accident in District Panipat.

Challaning Branch:-
A challaning branch has also been established in PS City Panipat, OPP Bus Stand Panipat. All challans of M.V. Act are compounded in this branch.
The main object of Panipat Traffic Police is to provide better traffic management to commuters and reduce accident and make Panipat roads safe, smooth and friendly.
